Criciúma right-back Léo Mana, on loan from Corinthians, made his first outing of the season in a 1-0 defeat at Goiás on Monday in the third round of Série B.

According to Meu Timao, the 22-year-old Corinthians academy graduate came on 21 minutes into the second half, replacing Jean Irmer, four minutes after Goiás opened the scoring at Estádio Serra Dourada.

His 24-minute cameo was quiet, with 17 of 21 passes completed, an 81 per cent success rate, plus one clearance and two ball recoveries. He attempted no dribbles and did not register a shot.

His loan to Criciúma was announced on 14 August 2025 and runs until 31 July this year. Opportunities have been scarce, with only seven appearances to date including this match. His previous outing came on 31 October last year, a goalless draw with Ferroviária, and in 2025 he logged only 170 minutes, all in the second division.

Despite limited minutes until early April, he has already lifted silverware this season. Criciúma won the Taça Acesc in March, edging Camboriú 8-7 on penalties in a competition for teams eliminated in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Campeonato Catarinense. The title secured a Copa do Brasil 2027 berth for the club.

Mana came through Corinthians’ youth ranks, playing 112 times for the under-17 and under-20 teams. He made his senior debut in 2022 in a Brasileirão defeat to América-MG, and has since played 30 times, 18 as a starter, with no goals and one assist.
