Corinthians’ main sponsor teases Palmeiras after Libertadores defeat

On the night of last Saturday (29), Corinthians’ biggest rival, Palmeiras, was defeated in the Libertadores final by Flamengo, who became four-time champions of the tournament. After the final whistle, the banter took over social media, including posts from Esportes da Sorte, Timão’s main sponsor.

In a sequence of two posts, the betting company’s profile emphasized the loss of the Barra Funda club’s spot in the Intercontinental, held at the end of the year. Thus, Palmeiras will continue without having won a world title at least until next year – see the banter below.

“EDS reports: With the loss of the Libertadores title, Palmeiras will not compete in the Intercontinental in December. As a result, verdão’s first world title has, once again, been postponed”, wrote the betting company.

Additionally, the sponsor also posted a photo with Corinthians’ two world titles, won in 2000 and 2012, in finals against Vasco da Gama and Chelsea, respectively. The image with the trophies was taken at Neo Química Arena, with the caption “PURE AURA.”
