Corinthians lost 3-1 to Fluminense at the Maracanã in the ninth round of the Brasileirão, with André Luiz scoring their only goal. The midfielder acknowledged the poor display and called for a collective response.

Supporters protested after the final whistle, mirroring the frustration around the team’s season. Performance again fell short of expectations.

"The fans expect wins and a good team performance. Unfortunately we could not show that today. It was a day of mistakes, everything went wrong for us. Now we have to work and try to improve in the next rounds," said André Luiz, speaking to Prime Video.

The result extended Corinthians’ winless run to eight matches, comprising five draws and three defeats. Inside the dressing room the message is to take responsibility and react quickly.

"The responsibility is on the whole group. Everyone has to work and focus on improving to recover those lost points," he added.

Corinthians remain 11th on 10 points and could be dragged closer to the relegation zone depending on other results in the round. Dorival Júnior’s side host Internacional at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 19:30 in round 10.
