Corinthians have handed 16-year-old goalkeeper Gustavo Milani his first senior trip, naming him in the squad to face Cruzeiro in the Brasileiro on Wednesday.
According to Meu Timao, Milani replaces Felipe Longo, who has an elbow issue and stayed in São Paulo. Hugo Souza is the starter, with Kauê also available for Dorival Júnior in Belo Horizonte.
Seen as a leading academy prospect, he began in futsal at Parque São Jorge with the Under-12s, switching to 11-a-side in 2024 with the Under-15s.
He has received regular Brazil youth call-ups since May 2024 and shone at the Copa 2 de Julho.
Before that Under-17 bow, he trained with the first team in January under Ramón Díaz during Paulistão pre-season.
Last year he played 28 times at the higher age group, conceding 31, and later received his first Brazil Under-17 call.
Noted for penalty saves, he denied spot-kicks against Fluminense and Red Bull Bragantino, preventing two defeats.
In July he signed his first professional deal to 30 June 2028 and had trained with the seniors the previous month under Dorival Júnior.
He was listed for the 2026 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior but did not feature, then began the Brasileiro Sub-20 as starter with a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over América-MG.
The youngster is not expected to make his senior bow against Cruzeiro. Kick-off is at 20:00 at the Mineirão in the fourth round.
