Corinthians’ men’s team were knocked out of the Campeonato Paulista after a 1-0 defeat at Novorizontino.
The match, staged at Estádio Dr. Jorge Ismael de Biasi, ended the Parque São Jorge side’s state competition. According to Meu Timao, the club have lined up the sale of 19-year-old midfielder André Luiz to Milan.
The deal is being finalised at €15 million, roughly R$103 million at current rates, with a possible extra €2 million, about R$12 million, if targets are met.
Earlier in the day, the International Football Association Board approved changes to the Laws of the Game. The new rules will be used for the first time at the 2026 World Cup.
For clubs, the measures are expected to take effect from the second half of the year.
