Corinthians have parted company with Renan Bloise, who served as football manager and scout. He bid farewell to staff on Wednesday. Time do Povo first reported the dismissal.
The decision came directly from president Osmar Stabile. It is not linked to the arrival of Lucas Vergne, formerly of Vasco da Gama, who joins as performance analyst under Fernando Diniz.
The club is expected to prioritise hiring a football manager in the coming days to bolster the department, pausing any search for a dedicated scout.
Behind the scenes, Bloise took on duties beyond his brief, encouraged by former executive director Fabinho Soldado, accompanying training sessions pitchside and acting as a conduit between board, staff and squad.
Fluent in English, he helped communication with the foreign contingent, effectively serving as Memphis Depay's translator, including as recently as Tuesday during talks with Diniz.
After Soldado's exit at the end of 2025, Bloise stayed on with internal backing, including from executive Marcelo Paz. Paz had indicated he counted on him as football manager while the club assessed bringing in a former player for the role.
Even so, figures in the club's politics pressed for his departure due to his ties to Soldado. Stabile initially resisted, with Paz's support, before opting to dismiss him.
