With no fixture at the weekend, several Corinthians players spent their Saturday off at the São Paulo Surf Club in Cidade Jardim. Breno Bidon, Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, Pedro Raul and Rodrigo Garro were among those who attended.

According to Meu Timao, right-back Matheuzinho shared a photo alongside team-mates and gave a nod to the World Surf League on social media. Pedro Raul also posted images and clips of himself surfing, noting the group were on a day off.

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has been seen surfing in Brazil alongside Gabriel Medina, a three-time world champion. Recently, Ronaldo Fenômeno became a partner in the Reserva Beach Club in Alphaville, valued at about R$ 1 billion.

Wave pools have surged in popularity in São Paulo, offering predictable conditions and wider access. The state now has eight clubs in cities including Itupeva, Porto Feliz, Alphaville, Atibaia, Ribeirão Preto and Araçoiaba da Serra, with similar facilities in Garopaba, Curitiba and Aracaju.

Their break ended on Sunday as Corinthians reported back to CT Dr. Joaquim Grava to prepare for Coritiba on Wednesday at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena, in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
