Corinthians put together back-to-back futsal wins after almost three months, beating Wimpro Guarulhos 5-1 on Tuesday at Ginásio Wlamir Marques in the Campeonato Paulista’s seventh round.
The run began on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Tubarão in the Liga Nacional de Futsal at Parque São Jorge. As reported by Meu Timao, the latest result underlined a recovery in their season.
It is only their second winning sequence of 2026. The previous came between 3 and 8 April, when they beat Magnus 2-0 in the LNF then beat Praia Grande 4-0 to open the state campaign.
In the interim they struggled, playing 14 official matches without back-to-back victories, returning five wins, three draws and six defeats. A seven-game LNF winless run ended last Saturday.
Corinthians are now on 19 points alongside São Caetano, but sit second on goal difference.
Fernando Malafaia’s side will try to maintain the momentum on Saturday, facing Umuarama at 19:30 at Ginásio Amario Vieira da Costa in the LNF’s 11th round.
