Corinthians quartet feature for Brazil in Women's Under-17 World Cup match

On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 21, Corinthians faced Costa Rica at the Mohammed Stadium in Morocco, for the second round of the group stage of the U-17 Women's World Cup and drew with a score of 1-1. The goal for the Amarelinha was scored by forward Gi Iseppe. In their debut, Amarelinha beat Morocco 3-0.

In the match, four Corinthians athletes played: goalkeeper Ana Morganti and midfielder Júlia Faria, who started as starters, as well as Pepê and Dulce Maria – who started on the bench and were brought on during the match. Defender Dany Pereira, also from Corinthians, has not yet played in the competition.

To start the match, coach Rilay Silva lined up with: Ana Morganti (Corinthians); Allyne (Grêmio), Marina (São Paulo), Andreyna (Ferroviária), and Julia Pereira (São Paulo); Kaylane (Flamengo), Evelin (Santos), and Júlia Faria (Corinthians); Giovana Waksman (no club), Gi Iseppe (São Paulo), and Maria (Grêmio).

The bench had the following options: Josi (Grêmio), Jhennifer (Ferroviária), Dany Pereira (Corinthians), Ravenna (Fortaleza), Pepê (Corinthians), Gabi Pusch (Ferroviária), Hellena Victoria (Ferroviária), Mariane (São Paulo), Gabriela Rolnik (Benfica-POR), and Dulce Maria (Corinthians).

With four points and leading Group A, the Brazil Women's National Team will return to the field this Friday, October 24, at 7:00 PM (Brasília time), at the same stadium as Tuesday's match, for the third round of the group stage of the U-17 Women's World Cup.
