Corinthians have opened 2026 with five clean sheets in 10 games, five wins to nil, and Gabriel Paulista established alongside Gustavo Henrique.

According to Globo.com, the sequence spans seven Paulistão fixtures, two in the Brasileiro and the Supercopa Rei win over Flamengo, the first trophy of the year.

Their record is five wins, two draws and three defeats, a 56.7% return. Losses came to Bragantino in a reserve-studded Paulistão match, Bahia in the league opener, and Palmeiras despite a strong display.

They drew 1-1 with Santos and São Paulo. Wins to nil came against Ponte Preta 3-0, Velo Clube 1-0, Flamengo 2-0, Capivariano 3-0 and Bragantino 2-0, the latter in the Brasileiro.

The defence mirrors last season’s solidity, when Gustavo Henrique and André Ramalho fronted the pairing. Paulista became a starter against Velo Clube and has scored twice, in the Supercopa versus Flamengo and against Bragantino.

Dorival Júnior praised the team’s consistency, citing collective balance and improving individual form. Paulista said seizing the moment and constant dialogue with Gustavo Henrique are helping his adaptation, and with limited training time they fine-tune details to minimise errors.

Next up is São Bernardo on Sunday at 20:30 Brasília at Estádio Primeiro de Maio, a decisive final-round Paulistão match with quarter-final qualification still at stake.
