Corinthians have registered 32-year-old midfielder Paola García for the 2026 season, making her eligible to debut for the Brabas.
According to Meu Timao, her name was published on Friday in the CBF’s Daily Information Bulletin (BID).
Now regularised, García is working to resolve remaining paperwork and link up with the squad in London.
The team are preparing for their Copa das Campeãs da Fifa opener against Gotham FC of the United States next Wednesday. Midfielder Dayana Rodríguez and forward Gisela Robledo are navigating similar documentation issues.
García has spent most of her career in Colombia, with spells at Alianza Lima in Peru, Yaracuyanos in Venezuela and Libertad in Paraguay. She won domestic titles with Santa Fe and twice with Deportivo Cali, and finished runners-up in the 2025 Libertadores with Cali after losing to Corinthians.
She arrives to bolster a thin area. Corinthians currently have only Dayana Rodríguez and Ana Vitória as specialist holding midfielders, with Duda Sampaio and Andressa Alves used deeper since Yaya left for Paris Saint-Germain in September.
García is part of a wider set of signings for 2026 that also includes forwards Rhaizza and Uruguayan Belén Aquino, Argentine centre-back Agustina and fellow holding midfielder Ana Vitória, who was registered in the BID on Friday morning.
