Corinthians are in the final stages of talks over a new deal for Memphis, with executive Marcelo Paz outlining a proposal that adds commercial incentives to salary and saying a decision could arrive within days.

"There is a desire from the club and clarity on what we can do. He has received an offer that includes salary plus more creative remuneration through products, events and joint sponsorships," Paz told ge.globo.

The offer is lower than his current wages, with commercial revenue to bridge the gap. "The club has put forward a feasible condition, a contract very different from the current one. It may be concluded in the next few days, by Sunday or Monday, we hope for a good outcome," he added.

Talks were due to resume on Tuesday. The club expects Memphis back at CT Dr Joaquim Grava between Saturday and Monday after 25 days off since the Netherlands’ World Cup exit. His contract ends on 31 July.

Ezze Seguros is working on two fronts, renewing its sponsorship and supporting a deal. The current pact, extended by six months in January, runs to July, and a new offer keeps undisclosed values pending a board reply.

Ezze also plans to make Memphis the face of Ezze Seguro A10 and offer him an equity stake as an incentive to stay. Founder Ivo Jucá Machado has travelled to Ibiza to finalise details with the player, joined by Pedro Silveira.

Memphis is in his third Corinthians season, with 79 appearances, 20 goals and 15 assists, and trophies in the Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil in 2025, plus the Supercopa Rei in 2026.
