Corinthians could receive a boost for Sunday’s Copa do Brasil last 16 first leg at Internacional after three players trained without issue.
According to Meu Timao, left-back Matheus Bidu, midfielder Rodrigo Garro and forward Pedro Raul trained fully on Saturday and may join the travelling party to Porto Alegre.
All three had been doubts. Bidu missed the last two matches with pubic pain, Pedro Raul had a similar problem and sat out the 0-0 draw with Athletico-PR, while Garro suffered a knock to his right foot in that game.
There were setbacks too. Zakaria Labyad had imaging on Friday confirming a meniscus injury and a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Yuri Alberto sustained a right hamstring injury and is also out of the match.
Memphis Depay remains unavailable while finalising a contract renewal. Vitinho continues his recovery from surgery on his left knee meniscus, and midfielder Alex Santana is treating a knee trauma.
Forward Kayke is out for the season with a ruptured left ACL. Left-back Hugo Farias is in physical transition after a left knee injury and is not yet match fit.
The first leg kicks off at 19:30 on Sunday at Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre. The return is on Thursday 6 at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena.
