Corinthians’ organised supporters met squad leaders at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Friday in the wake of a 2-0 loss to Coritiba. According to Meu Timao, the hour-long summit ended with a joint statement.
The groups voiced anger at the team’s approach, and players accepted the criticism, admitting they fell short. Rodrigo Garro and Memphis Depay acknowledged poor individual displays.
Matheus Bidu held a one-to-one, recognised his error and apologised to the Fiel, pledging to honour the shirt.
Coach Dorival Júnior had been invited but left early for personal reasons. President Osmar Stabile and executive Marcelo Paz heard the demands, and the squad promised a different attitude in the next match.
Goalkeeper Hugo Souza, defenders André Ramalho and Gustavo Henrique, and midfielder Raniele were involved, alongside analysis head Renan Bloise. About 20 representatives attended two days after the Neo Química Arena defeat.
The meeting came amid the worst winless run of 2026. Corinthians visit Santos on Sunday, 15 March, at 16:00, in a single-fan Clássico Alvinegro, still seeking a first derby win this year.
A similar exchange followed defeat to Sport in September 2025. Off the pitch this week, fans attended a cancelled council meeting and were later briefed by Osmar Stabile on the financial plan and approved 2026 budget.
Corinthians are 10th in the Brasileiro with seven points. Victory at Santos could lift them to second, dependent on other results, and they remain in the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores.
