Corinthians unbeaten at home in Copa do Brasil, hit 100 matches

Corinthians faced Athletico-PR and won their sixth game in this Copa do Brasil, maintaining an unbeaten streak and reaching an impressive milestone in the competition. It has been four years without being defeated as hosts and 100 victories counting all editions of the tournament.

The last defeat of Timão as hosts in the Copa do Brasil occurred in May 2021, when the club was eliminated by Atlético-GO in the round of 16. Since then, there have been 12 victories and 4 draws, including classics against the three rivals – all ending with victories for the black and white team.

Corinthians had remarkable campaigns, such as in 2022 and 2023, where the club reached the final and semifinal, respectively, but ended up being defeated in the away matches. In these years, there were notable qualifications against Atlético-GO, América-MG, Atlético-MG, Santos, and Juventude.

Since the end of 2021, when stadiums returned to full capacity after the pandemic, the strength of the Fiel has been crucial for Corinthians, which has one of the highest average attendances in Brazil. In the three games in Itaquera this year for the Copa do Brasil, all had more than 40,000 attendees.

Among the 100 victories achieved, Corinthians won three titles and contested four other finals, having four runner-up finishes. For the fourth consecutive year, Timão reaches the semifinal and will try to win the fourth title in its history, being able to focus on the Brasileirão before the decisive games.
