Record topped São Paulo's TV ratings on Sunday night during Corinthians v Palmeiras, part of the penultimate round of the Paulistão's initial phase. Between 20:32 and 22:34, the broadcast averaged 16.7 points.

In the same slot, Globo posted 14 points with Fantástico, and SBT was third on 6.4 with Programa Silvio Santos, the figures from Kantar Ibope Media. It was the first time in almost 24 years that Globo did not lead in the São Paulo capital.

During the Dérbi, the audience peaked at 18.7 points with a 26.5% share of TVs in use.

For comparison, São Paulo v Primavera on Saturday drew an average of 6 points and a 10.2% share, peaking at 7.7.

Corinthians return to Paulistão action next Sunday away to São Bernardo FC in the final round. Kick-off is at 20:30 at Estádio Primeiro de Maio, and the game will also be broadcast by Record.
