Corinthians women’s trio help national teams to FIFA break wins

Last Tuesday, the 29th, another round of matches took place during the FIFA date for women's football. The Brazilian National Team played against Italy, with three Corinthians players called up, while Venezuela had Dayana Rodríguez available against Paraguay.

Of the three called up for Brazil, only Mariza and Duda Sampaio played during the match that ended 1-0 for the Canarinho. The defender started the game, while the midfielder came on at the beginning of the second half. Thais Ferreira was not used by Arthur Elias.

The fourth Corinthians player called up for the exclusive national team period played a match in the Conmebol Women's Nations League, where Venezuela defeated Paraguay in the fight for a spot in the 2027 World Cup. Despite being a midfielder, Day Rodríguez played as a defender.

It's worth mentioning that, since Brazil is the host of the next World Cup, the National Team does not need to participate in the qualifiers. The Neo Química Arena will be one of the stadiums used in the competition.

With the end of the FIFA date, the players return to Parque São Jorge and are free to be used by coach Lucas Piccinato. Corinthians will take the field next Saturday, November 1st, for the first phase of the Women's Paulista Championship, against São Paulo.
