Coventry City have had a winning start to the season, and now even more fans will be able to see them play at home following a new club announcement.
Coventry City are having an outstanding season in the Championship, and the club had even more good news for fans who've already had an incredible 2025-26 season so far.
Five points clear at the top of the Championship as teams return from the third international break of the season, Coventry City fans have got plenty to be happy at the moment.
Frank Lampard's team recovered from their first League defeat of the season at Wrexham with two good wins against Sheffield United and Stoke City leading into the break, putting themselves in an excellent position to continue their push to return to the Premier League after an absence of a quarter of a century.
And ecstatic Sky Blues fans have even more reason for good cheer with a piece of news received from their club which will allow even more of them to watch their team over the remainder of this season.

Coventry City's official club account on the social media platform X has confirmed that the club will be able to increase their ticket allocation for home fans with immediate effect, following the consultation with their local authority.
This message was released in tandem with a statement on the official club website which fleshed out some further details. Starting with their home Championship match against West Bromwich Albion on November 22, which has already been hotly debated due to the price of away tickets, the home allocation will be increased for supporters in block 9 in the South Stand. This comes as a result of getting permission to move the 'segregation line' which separates home fans and away fans.
Neither the statement nor the tweet confirm how many extra tickets will be available, but any increase will be good news for Coventry fans, as attendances have been getting close to capacity as the club has soared to the top of the Championship table.

The CBS Arena has a formal capacity of 32,609, but rules concerning segregation mean that the actual number of Coventry City fans able to watch the team play has been slightly lower than this.
Getting the number of home fans has been a necessary move for, because one inevitable upshot of the club's upward swing over the last few seasons has been a growth in the number of people wanting to see them play.
This season's average attendance for Coventry home matches is 29,786, an increase of almost 2,000 on last season's average of 27,812. This figure itself is continuing an upward curve which has continued apace since crowds were allowed back into matches when pandemic restrictions were lifted in 2021.
The club's average home attendance for their first season back following the return of fans in 2021 was 19,541, meaning that home attendances have increased by 52% over the last five years.
Prior to the 2020 outbreak, the numbers were bleak. Playing home matches at Birmingham City's St. Andrew's as a result of a failure to agree terms to stay at the CBS Arena with the stadium's then-owners SISA, the average Sky Blues home attendance for the 2019-20 season was just 6,677. The club returned to their home for the start of the 2021-22 season.
This isn't the only piece of good news that Sky Blues fans have had regarding the CBS Arena since the start of this season. In August, it was confirmed that the club's owner Doug King - who bought the club in November 2022 - had purchased the stadium. This not only secured the club's future there following years of uncertainty, but offered the likelihood of also increasing revenues.
Having got back to winning ways in the two matches prior to the international break, Coventry City were one of the clubs who could have done without the interruption of international football, but the news that more Sky Blues fans will be able to enjoy their team at home this season is not only good news for the club's coffers, but also for the fans themselves, especially if they can continue the form they've already shown this season.
