All the latest transfer news surrounding Coventry City
Coventry City are preparing for life in the Premier League after clinching the Championship title.
Frank Lampard’s side stormed to the top of the table early in the campaign, and held onto their spot inside the top two right up until the end.
The Sky Blues have earned their place back in the top flight for the first time since 2001, ending a 25-year absence.
The club will be planning for the upcoming transfer window, where they will be seeking to bolster the squad in a bid to survive in the Premier League beyond one year.
Improvements will be needed, but Lampard can take solace from the success of Sunderland and Leeds United this season, who have maintained their place in the division after winning promotion in 2025.
Here we take a look at all the latest transfer news surrounding Coventry before the market opens officially on 15 June…

Coventry have been linked with a move for Ireland international Troy Parrott following his impressive campaign with AZ Alkmaar.
It has been reported by journalist Sébastien Vidal that the forward is being targeted by the Sky Blues following their promotion to the Premier League.
However, they face competition for the former Spurs striker from Ipswich Town, who have also earned promotion to the top flight.
The 24-year-old has contributed 15 goals and three assists in the Eredivisie this season, with AZ also winning the KNVB Cup, with Parrott scoring in the 5-1 win in the final.

Coventry have been linked with a move for Rangers defender Leon King after his impressive performances this season while on loan with Ayr United.
It has been reported by TEAMtalk that the newly-promoted side are targeting the 22-year-old in a bid to bolster their backline.
It’s expected that King will depart Ibrox this summer following the conclusion of his loan stint, and there are a number of clubs circling around his signature.
Coventry face competition from the likes of Wolves, Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Portsmouth ahead of the summer window opening, with his contract set to expire in June.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Lampard has set his sights on signing Ross Barkley this summer from Aston Villa.
The midfielder previously worked with the 47-year-old during his time as Chelsea manager, and is now eyeing a reunion following Coventry’s promotion.
The 32-year-old is entering the final 12 months of his current contract, and he has only been a bit-part player under Unai Emery this season.
It remains to be seen whether he is part of the Spaniard’s plans for the next campaign, with the Midlands outfit close to sealing qualification for the Champions League.

Coventry are considering an ambitious approach for Juventus forward Lois Openda this summer.
It has been reported by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, relayed by Sport Witness, that the Belgian is on the Sky Blues’ radar ahead of their Premier League campaign.
The 26-year-old has scored just once from 24 appearances in Serie A this year, with the team seeking qualification for the Champions League.
