Craig Bellamy has made fresh selection calls on Leeds United’s Wales contingent for this evening’s final June friendly away to Romania. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Dan James start again, while Karl Darlow is benched with Danny Ward starting in goal.
The fixture takes place in Bucharest at Stadionul Steaua. On Tuesday, Ampadu, Rodon, Darlow and James all started the 2-2 draw against Ghana, with Jayden Lienou unused.
Bellamy included all five Leeds players in his June squad, handing young full-back Lienou a first senior call-up. The June schedule followed a penalty shootout defeat to Bosnia Herzegovina in March’s qualifying play-off final.
Leeds also have four players heading to the World Cup, Brenden Aaronson for USA, Gabi Gudmundsson for Sweden, Noah Okafor for Switzerland and Ao Tanaka for Japan.
The fixtures come as Wales look ahead to the Euro 2028 qualifying campaign.
