Serie A referee Davide Massa fared reasonably well during Sunday’s clash between Cremonese and Inter Milan at Stadio Giovanni Zini.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the 44-year-old had a near-flawless game, barring one major oversight.
Inter Milan put Cremonese to the sword, cruising to a 2-0 victory to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
Furthermore, Lautaro Martinez scored in his third consecutive league appearance and is now five goals clear of Como star Nico Paz.
Indeed, the Argentine has taken his seasonal tally to 13 league goals.
Meanwhile, Piotr Zielinski bagged his fourth Serie A goal of the season, slotting home a stunning long-range shot.

Massa handled the game well, even though it was a physical affair at the Zini, producing as many as 33 fouls.
Moreover, Massa had to show three yellow cards to the home players to ease tensions.
However, the experienced referee measured every decision to perfection.
The only oversight was in Inter’s favor as Massa refused to book Cristian Chivu for kicking the ball away to prevent Cremonese from launching a fast attack.
Otherwise, it was a spotless performance from one of the most highly rated Italian referees.
