Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 950th goal of his career on Saturday as Al Nassr continued their perfect start to the Saudi Arabian Pro League season.

Jorge Jesus’ side beat Al-Hazem 2-0 away from home, with the league’s top goalscorer João Félix also on target to help make it six wins from the opening six matches for Al Nassr. The Riyadh outfit have scored 21 goals and conceded just twice during their six-game winning run, which sees them three points clear at the top.

The clash with Al-Hazem saw Al Nassr come up against a pair of familiar Portuguese faces, with ex-Benfica goalkeeper Bruno Varela and experienced midfielder Fábio Martins on the opposing side. Félix broke the deadlock after 25 minutes with a neat header, making it 9 league goals so far this term for the new arrival.

Ronaldo was denied by Varela on a couple of occasions but finally clinched the win for his side in the 88th minute, reaching another remarkable milestone of 950 goals. “Happy to help the team win and to hit 950 goals!
