Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr future is under scrutiny as the Portugal forward continues a protest over PIF’s transfer strategy, having been left out of the club’s last two Saudi Pro League matches.

"Will Mohamed Salah moving out there mean the end of Ronaldo’s time in Saudi Arabia? Absolutely but then again he’s always had his battles."

He told Casinostuga.

The 41-year-old has reportedly gone on strike following the January window after Al-Hilal, also PIF-backed, signed Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad. Benzema hit a hat-trick on his Al-Hilal debut, while Ronaldo missed games against Al-Ittihad and Al-Riyadh.

In a lengthy statement, the Saudi Pro League said clubs act independently within a financial framework designed for sustainability and competitive balance, and no individual dictates decisions beyond their own club. It added that Ronaldo has been fully engaged at Al-Nassr and that recent transfer activity reflects club autonomy.

Salah’s Liverpool future remains a talking point after he accused the club and Arne Slot of "throwing him under the bus" when benched late last year. He went to AFCON, has since returned, and is contracted until 2027, though speculation persists that Saudi clubs will target him this summer.
