The occasion: a diplomatic dinner organized for the visit of Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman. Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr—linked to the Saudi investment fund—has been promoting football in the Middle East for nearly three years. On Instagram, he wrote:

Thank you, Mr. President, for the invitation and the warm welcome you and the First Lady gave me. Each of us has something to offer, and I am ready to do my part to inspire the next generation to build a future based on courage, responsibility, and lasting peace.

At 40, Ronaldo is preparing for his final World Cup with Portugal, who have already qualified for the 2026 edition in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
