Crystal Palace are reportedly desperate to tie Oliver Glasner to a new contract.
The Austrian’s future at Selhurst Park has become the subject of speculation as Manchester United are considering him to replace Ruben Amorim as their new manager.
According to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, Palace will do whatever it takes to convince Glasner to commit his future to the club.
The 51-year-old’s contract will expire next summer, and the Eagles are expected to ramp up talks over his future during the international break.
They have held positive discussions with Glasner about the future. He wants assurances they are serious about building upon their success.
Amorim is under pressure at United, but he still retains the backing of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
However, Ratcliffe could be forced to sack the Portuguese if he fails to lead his team to victory against newly-promoted Sunderland on Saturday.
If United come calling, it would be very hard for Glasner to turn them down.
The Red Devils are one of the best clubs in the world, and an opportunity like that may not come in his lifetime again.
Glasner would be handed a sizeable transfer kitty to improve the squad if he replaced Amorim.
