Crystal Palace in talks with Arsenal to sign Reiss Nelson | OneFootball

Crystal Palace are currently in talks with Arsenal over a potential move for winger Reiss Nelson, according to The Sun.

Nelson has struggled for regular game time with Arsenal in recent years, which led to a loan spell at Fulham last season.

However, he made just 13 appearances due to injury and has returned to Arsenal since April.

With the competition for places growing stronger at Arsenal, especially following the arrival of Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze, Nelson’s prospects at the Emirates appear slim, and he is keen on a move away.

After recently parting ways with Eze, Palace are keen on multiple attacking reinforcements and have recently agreed a deal with Villarreal to land Yeremy Pino.

The Eagles are now working on a deal to bring Nelson to South London before the transfer window closes.

Aiming to recoup some of the money spent this summer, Arsenal are open to letting Nelson go and value him at around £15 million, despite the player having two years left on his current deal.

Fulham were keen on signing Nelson earlier this window, but have since cooled their interest as they close in on a deal to sign Samuel Chukwueze.

For Nelson, a move to Selhurst Park could provide the platform he needs to reignite his career and showcase the talent that made him a standout youth prospect.

While Palace are expected to have a busy end to the summer window, their immediate focus is on securing a place in the Conference League with the second leg of their qualifying tie against Fredrikstad to come on Thursday.
