Despite our injury woes we should still expect to win today. We have the better resources and won’t resort to excuses if we fail, unlike some. And we have three young Celtic stars on the bench, two of whom are already proven goal-scorers…

With temperatures plummeting on a tight pitch against a side who will dig deep, it’s going to be a game where we will have to be fully focused if we want to get the result we desire.

Going into the game we know that we are devoid of serious attacking options due to injuries to several key players. So it’s going to be extra difficult to breach a stubborn County side who are unbeaten in their last four games, three of which have been away from home against Dundee, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

Having said that, we still can’t have any excuses if we fall short. Despite our injury problems we should still have more than enough to beat The Staggies.

We have a £13 million strike force in Adam Idah and Kyogo. We have an £11 million midfielder in Arne Engels. Without sounding condescending, that’s light years ahead of Ross County’s budget, and we simply can’t have any excuses if we fall short.

Some sides like to resort to excuses to dismiss their poor performances, we are above that, and have more than enough to overcome the opposition, despite these injury problems.

And it would be great to see the likes of Cummings and Kenny getting their Celtic debuts today.  Both are proven goal-scorers and look like they are going to have decent careers ahead of them, hopefully at Celtic.
