Manchester United loanee Dan Gore could return to action next month.
The 20 year old has been incredibly unlucky with injuries in his young career to date.
He was only able to make one appearance for Port Vale last season on loan owing to his injury woes and had to cut his spell with the club short.
The midfielder joined Rotherham United this season on loan but again was only able to play one match in February before picking up yet another injury.
It was announced he would be out for weeks with the foot injury and in an interview the 20 year old described himself as “gutted” about the news.
He has since returned to United for treatment but there has been some positive news from Rotherham boss Steve Evans.
The Millers’ coach had originally hoped the midfielder would return in March but this has not come to pass.
The Rotherham Advertiser carries comments from Evans that suggest United fans won’t have to wait long to see the Carrington product in action again and he suggested that the player is making good progress and will be back shortly with his club.
“We’re hopeful we’ll see him playing April football. The Man United staff have spoken to our medical staff and said they’re hopeful that will be the case.”
“I’m keen for our supporters to see the player who we worked so hard to get.”
It is a busy month of fixtures where the 14th placed League One side have seven fixtures in April.
They will next be in action on Saturday 29th at home to Crawley Town, but that will likely come too early for Gore to be a part of the squad.
The young Englishman will hope he can put a run of games together at the end of the end of the season to get his stalling career back on track.
