Daniel Farke has played down talk of heavy January business, describing the winter window as difficult and stressing Leeds would only act for an affordable addition who clearly improves the team.
According to Leedsunited.news, there is PSR headroom and money available in January, despite managing director Robbie Evans previously saying any new signing would overstep the PSR mark after a deadline-day move for Harry Wilson.
Leeds face Crystal Palace on Saturday night, the first of two fixtures before the window opens, and Farke spoke to reporters on Thursday afternoon. He said he does not want to dwell on January, citing a limited pool and only four months left.
He contrasted January with summer, when signings can complete pre-season and adapt to style and processes. He added that winter targets often carry issues, or those in peak rhythm are overpriced.
Farke said he will be picky, with staff continuing to work and stay alert. If an affordable option emerges that genuinely strengthens Leeds, he said they have to be ready.
