After talks with Juventus fell apart, PSG was able to offload Randal Kolo Muani to Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan, per journalist Ben Jacobs. This move is the latest in the Frenchman’s attempt to find his past form, which he displayed at Juventus, but financially, he couldn’t stay long-term.
Heading into the final hours of the summer window, Kolo Muani was linked to Aston Villa and Newcastle United along with Spurs. Nonetheless, the London-based club landed the player for the 2025-26 season.
So, how did Spurs pull one over on their Premier League rivals? Well, it’s thanks to chairman Daniel Levy.

TBR Football reports that Levy was key in convincing Kolo Muani to join Tottenham on deadline day. The 26-year-old quickly told his team to reach out to Spurs after his move to Turin collapsed. Additionally, the outlet reveals that he is said to be excited by Thomas Frank’s project.
“Kolo Muani learnt over the weekend that his move to Juventus was off, at the point options emerged,” Graeme Bailey told TBR Football.
“I am told that the player himself indicated to his people to make the call to Spurs. He maintained a lot of respect for Daniel Levy and the club after they came close to landing him in January.
“Once it became known that Spurs wanted him and he wanted Spurs, it has not taken too long for this deal to progress.”
