David De Gea is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract with Fiorentina, despite interest from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

De Gea arrived at Fiorentina after spending over a decade at Manchester United, where he established himself as one of the Premier League’s standout goalkeepers.

Following his departure from Old Trafford at the end of the 2022–23 season, the experienced shot-stopper remained a free agent for several months before eventually joining La Viola.

De Gea has impressed since joining the Italian side on a free transfer, and talks are progressing smoothly over a renewed deal that would keep him in Florence beyond the end of his current deal.
