Chelsea captain even appears to take a slight dig towards Maresca as he admitted that the team did not prepare right for the game in his post-match comments last night.

It looked bad from the start to be honest when the lineup came out. Ahead of a key game to get Champions League qualification on Sunday, Maresca picked a very strong lineup and started big name players such as Cole Palmer, Reece James, and Marc Cucurella in a game they were already leading 3-0.

Maresca was asked about why he picked this lineup and gave an answer that once again insults fan intelligence.

And today, they face Fulham in a huge must win game if they want any chance of qualifying for Champions League football next season. Things are dire right now for Enzo Maresca, and many Chelsea fans have completely turned against him.

According to Ornstein, the Blues boss won’t be evaluated this summer.

“I wouldn’t expect Maresca to be evaluated until closer to the end of his 2nd year at Chelsea. They want to work with him, he has a close working relationship with the sporting hierarchy and is involved in decisions. Maresca is actually also admired by other clubs.”
