Flamengo have named their squad for Wednesday's Copa Libertadores opener against Cusco, with De la Cruz included.

According to Globo.com, head coach Leonardo Jardim will be without five players.

The Uruguayan was assessed by staff after previously feeling unwell at altitude. He has no condition that bars him from such venues, but has struggled before. To mitigate effects, the club will use a hotel with pressurised rooms.

Jorginho is a significant absentee after a left calf muscle injury and will be out for a few weeks. Pulgar has suffered an acromioclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder and is unavailable.

Everton Cebolinha has a fractured rib. Alex Sandro was expected to return for the Libertadores opener, but still requires more time to recover from a right hamstring muscle injury.

Saúl is progressing after surgery on his left heel. He has been doing on-field physiotherapy and conditioning work. The expectation is that he starts rejoining the group in the first half of April.
