Lascelles set to depart Newcastle
Leicester look set to sign Jamaal Lascelles from Newcastle in a deal worth £7m.
The defender has been on the watchlist of many Championship clubs throughout the January window, with his contract on Tyneside set to expire this summer.
The 32-year-old has made more than 250 appearances for the Magpies but playing time this season has been limited. His experience could prove crucial at the King Power Stadium, as the Foxes look to avoid slipping further into a relegation battle.

Jacquet set for Liverpool medical
Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle for Rennes’ 20-year-old defender, Jérémy Jacquet.
The youngster, who is set to attract a fee in the region of £55m plus add-ons, is set to undergo his medical today ahead of a move to Anfield in the summer.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea offered an identical fee for the Rennes star – but with Josh Acheampong staying in SW6 and Mamadou Sarr returning, it’s felt that Merseyside offers a more realistic prospect of playing time.
