Oliver McBurnie changed it in the 39th minute with a composed finish, as Hull City beat Derby County 4-2. The forward is now on 13 league goals, second in the Championship scoring chart.

He had already set the tone by arriving between centre-backs to convert from close range (39.), after Joe Gelhardt's smart headed pass unlocked the box.

After the restart he turned provider, cushioning a lay-off for John Egan to sweep in what proved the winner (75.). That movement dragged the Rams' back line out of shape and restored control.

McBurnie finished with one attempt, on target, and two key passes. Crucially, he won seven aerial duels and made five clearances, numbers that underlined how he linked play and protected Hull's box when Derby pressed.
