Jake Young levelled in the 69th minute with a left-footed strike from outside the box, as St Mirren drew 1-1 with Dundee United.
The forward's equaliser came via a neat set-up from Richard King, with Young driving a low finish into the bottom left that finally beat Dave Richards. It capped a spell after the restart where St Mirren pushed higher and found space at the edge of the area.
He threatened again in the first minute of second half stoppage time when a right-footed effort from the left channel was blocked, his movement having pinned United's back line deep.
Young finished with three attempts, five touches in the box and a tackle won, numbers that showed how often he occupied The Arabs' defence and offered a direct outlet on transitions.
St Mirren now turn to the Scottish Premiership Playoffs, visiting Partick Thistle next.
