Decisive figure settles late spell for Kilmarnock against Dundee

Joe Hugill converted from the spot in the 85th minute to put Kilmarnock back in front in a 3-1 win over Dundee.

Earlier pressure set the tone. Hugill met Tom Lowery's cross with a firm header in the 22nd minute, drawing a sharp save as Kilmarnock pushed the visitors back.

He then kept his nerve from 12 yards (85.), restoring control after Dundee's leveller. In the fourth minute of second half stoppage time he climbed to glance in a close range header, sealing the result.

Hugill's numbers underlined his influence: three attempts, all on target, and six touches in the box. His movement across the line kept Dundee's back line occupied throughout.

Kilmarnock visit Livingston next in the Premiership. Dundee host Aberdeen.
