Kevin Nisbet put Aberdeen in front in the 73rd minute with a close-range header, as the tie ended 1-1 against Falkirk.
Arriving between the centre-backs, Nisbet guided his only attempt into the top right (73.). The movement was sharp, the finish precise, and it briefly swung momentum towards The Dons.
From there he knitted attacks together, completing 14 of 19 passes and six in the final third. He also occupied the box smartly with four touches, keeping The Bairns' back line pinned.
His shift extended to the other end too. He made five clearances, dropping in to help protect Aberdeen's lead before the late equaliser (89.).
The Dons remain ninth and visit Rangers next. The Bairns stay sixth and host St Mirren next.
