Oisin McEntee settled it in the 77th minute with a glancing header, as Hearts beat Dundee 1-0 at Tynecastle Park.
The defender attacked Marc Leonard's curling delivery from a set piece, guiding his header into the bottom right corner (77.). It was the game's cleanest chance and he made it count.
From there, the Jambos' right-sided stopper won important headers and shut down the flank as Dundee pushed for a response. McEntee's positioning helped clear danger and kept Hearts in control of the closing stages.
He finished with four aerial duels won, five possessions won and two accurate crosses from four, underlining a two-way display that decided the contest.
Because Hearts loaded the set piece and Leonard supplied quality, McEntee could attack the delivery unopposed. His timing and aggression at dead balls, coupled with tidy defending afterwards, ensured the Jam Tarts managed the decisive moments.
