Arsenal’s Premier League lead is down to five points, with a game more played, after a 2-2 draw at bottom side Wolves. Their form has stuttered in recent weeks.

“After the match at Wolves, we had a frank discussion,” said Declan Rice. He told The Sun.

Arsenal have two wins from their last seven league matches, with four draws and one defeat. Manchester City have a game in hand and could close to two points. Recent displays have revived memories of seasons when Arsenal led then finished second three times.

“It will not be handed to us on a plate, we have to go and get it, we must earn it and be ready for whatever comes our way,” the England midfielder said.

A north London derby at Tottenham on Sunday, 17:30, now offers a chance to reset. Spurs are 16th and winless in eight league games, though they have recently changed head coach.

“We need everyone on the same wavelength, pulling in the same direction, and to keep fighting for these players and for this club.” Arsenal must find wins quickly if they are to reclaim the title, 22 years after their last.
