Departure of an offensive player: Bayern secures a special clause | OneFootball

FC Bayern has big plans on the transfer market this summer. Two players are on their way in, while others have left the club. Among them is Jonah Kusi-Asare. The record champions have secured an interesting clause in his contract. 

The forward officially transferred from FC Bayern to Fulham in England on Saturday. He had already been on loan there last season and showed great promise, at least in training.

Kusi-Asare arrived from Sweden as a promising young prospect, but he was unable to establish himself at FCB. Now, at 18, he wants to continue his career in England. Bayern will receive a transfer fee of around six million euros for him.

Bayern secures a buyback clause for Kusi-Asare

Revenue from such deals is also important for the record champions. Although Fulham is paying a sum that is still well below the previously agreed-upon buyout option, Bayern had a clause included in the contract.

According to a report by BILD , FC Bayern has secured a buyback option for the Swedish player. This means that the record champions can bring the player back if he develops particularly well or if a market opportunity arises.

Such clauses can also serve to generate a higher profit on a player transfer. Nothing is known about the amount of the clause, but if Bayern exercises it and stands to receive an additional five million euros for the striker from another club, that would once again be a good deal.

For the striker himself, the focus is now on proving himself at Fulham. In his brief appearances for the first team so far, he has yet to score a goal. However, he has already shown glimpses of his potential in the reserve league.
