Derby overwhelm City with ruthless finishing to jump into sixth

Derby County beat Bristol City 5-0 at Ashton Gate on Friday, rising from 11th to sixth in the Championship play-off places.
Rhian Brewster opened the scoring in the 13th minute, guiding in Callum Elder's cross. Ben Brereton Díaz doubled the lead (16.) from Bobby Clark's pass.
Clark made it three (36.) on the break after Brereton Díaz released him.
After the restart, Patrick Agyemang glanced in Joe Ward's delivery (66.).
Late on, substitute Lars-Jorgen Salvesen completed the rout (88.), finishing from Andreas Weimann's cut-back.
City saw 60.6% of the ball but mustered only one shot on target. Derby tallied 17 attempts and seven on target, repeatedly punishing turnovers.
City visit Hull next in the Championship. Derby host Ipswich next.
