In addition to the full-back position, FC Bayern’s transfer plans for the coming summer are focusing in particular on the backup role behind Luis Diaz. Internal solutions are also possible.
Arijon Ibrahimović is increasingly coming into focus as part of the squad planning for the new season. According to Transfermarkt, the attacking player is being discussed internally as a possible backup option. His performances during his current loan spell at 1. FC Heidenheim in particular are said to have been closely monitored in Munich.
Head coach Vincent Kompany has also registered the 20-year-old’s development positively. This week, an initial intensive exchange took place at Säbener Straße regarding the squad structure for the coming season, with the initial focus clearly being on internal club solutions before expensive external transfers are considered.
Specifically, Ibrahimović is being considered as a possible replacement player for the left side of the attack, where Luis Díaz is currently set, but there are no clear alternatives from the existing squad behind him. The Nuremberg-born player could close this gap and thus develop prospects at the record champions.

His path led him back into Munich’s sights via several loan spells. After spells in Italy with Frosinone and Lazio, he has been playing for Heidenheim this season, where he is a regular starter. In 25 competitive matches, he has earned playing time, scored one goal and provided two assists, putting in consistent performances despite his mixed scoring figures.
At the same time, interest from other clubs is also growing. In addition to several Bundesliga clubs, clubs from abroad, including Villarreal and Brighton, are also said to be monitoring the attacking player’s situation. Ibrahimović is therefore facing a landmark decision regarding his further development. Whether he opts for the role of a supplementary player at FC Bayern or aims to take the next step with more playing time remains to be seen.
