Talented midfielder Petar Sucic will complete his transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Inter Milan in less than a week.
During his recent interview via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old admitted he instantly accepted Inter’s offer.
Inter and Dinamo found an agreement in January.
However, the Nerazzurri decided to leave Petar Sucic on a short-term loan.
Indeed, the 21-year-old had been recovering from a knee injury, and Inter thought it was in his best interest to stay in Zagreb.
Despite returning to the squad in February, it took Sucic a few months to hit the ground running.
But he excelled toward the end of the season.
The versatile midfielder tallied three goals and one assist in his last four appearances in the SuperSport HNL.
Unfortunately, it was not enough for Dinamo Zagreb to win an eighth consecutive domestic league title.
Therefore, Sucic will leave his boyhood club on a bittersweet note.
While he must be proud of his individual progress, there must be a disappointment for not delivering another title.
Nonetheless, he’s seemingly ready to embark on a new chapter at San Siro.

“I feel ready,” Sucic admitted. “When I received various offers, I had to choose which club to join.
“And as soon as Inter came forward, we didn’t think twice. Everything became easier from there.
“I really like the team’s playing style and tactics,” he concluded.
Sucic should meet his new teammates soon and start preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Indeed, Simone Inzaghi will include the youngster in his squad for the summer tournament in North America.
In addition to Sucic, Inter will try to complete Luis Henrique’s arrival from Olympique Marseille.
The Brazilian would ideally join the team before the transatlantic trip in mid-June.
