West Ham United welcomed Crystal Palace at the London Stadium earlier today as they focused on securing a good result at home in the London derby. The Hammers made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 37th minute when Jean-Phillipe Mateta found the back of the net. Graham Potter’s men were trailing 1-0 at the half-time interval.

Jarrod Bowen equalised for West Ham in the 49th minute. Tyrick Mitchell scored the winning goal for the Eagles in the 68th minute as the contest finished with West Ham suffering a 2-1 defeat in front of their home fans.

LB: El Hadji Malick Diouf – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence on both halves and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Mateus Fernandes – 6/10

Fernandes earned the ball back once but struggled to impress in the opponent’s half.

He managed to shine at times but failed to threaten the Palace goal.

Bowen was a real menace in the final third and did well to score the equaliser early in the second half.
