Documentary to chart YouTuber KSI’s bid to take sixth tier club to the Premier League | OneFootball

Social media sensation KSI is set to chronicle his ambitious bid to propel Dagenham & Redbridge FC into the Premier League, as a new documentary series is announced.

The YouTuber, also a shareholder and strategic partner in the east London club, declared his intention to restore the team to its "glory days".

The documentary, titled Race To The Top, will debut on KSI’s YouTube channel, which boasts over 17 million subscribers, and will be promoted across his social platforms, reaching a combined audience of 33.5 million.

Currently competing in the Enterprise National League South, the sixth tier of English football, the Daggers face a significant climb.

The series will follow KSI, whose full name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, as he navigates the pressures of steering the club into a new era.

Produced by After Party Studios and directed by its founder, Ben Doyle, the project marks a significant undertaking for the star, who served as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent last year.

KSI commented: "This is a really big deal for me. It’s a full-circle moment – from dreaming about football online to actually taking over a club.

“Reuniting with Ben and After Party Studios makes it even more special. He’s captured every high and low, and I am so excited for him to board this rollercoaster of a journey at Dagenham & Redbridge with me."

Filming for the documentary is scheduled to commence when KSI attends Saturday’s home fixture against league leaders Dorking Wanderers, having revealed he has been watching Daggers games on YouTube "for months".

This is KSI’s latest ambitious project, as he is also the president of the UK version of Baller League, which was launched last year.
