Dodi Lukebakio is back in Benfica’s immediate plans and could return to the starting XI after more than three months sidelined. According to Glorioso 1904, the Belgian winger is in contention to face AFS SAD, his chances helped by Prestianni’s suspension.
Lukebakio was named on the bench away to Santa Clara in the Azores, then made his competitive comeback against Real Madrid on Tuesday, coming on in the closing minutes. The No 11 is now pushing for greater involvement as Benfica seek stable attacking options.
Mourinho has alternatives out wide in Bruma, Sidny Cabral, Aursnes and Rafa, yet the current tendency points to backing the Belgian, a player who offers depth, one v one threat and a regular presence in finishing areas.
His pace from the right into central zones is viewed as a useful weapon for the domestic fixture and with the upcoming trip to Madrid in mind. Before his injury he was regularly used under Mourinho, a status he now aims to recover at a decisive stage of Benfica’s season.
This season he has featured in 11 matches for Benfica, six in Liga Portugal Betclic, three in the Champions League, one in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 835 minutes he has one goal and three assists, and he is valued at 20 million euros.
