Multiple sources are confident Bologna have agreed a €6m transfer for 20-year-old Norwegian defender Eivind Helland from SK Brann.
The centre-back already had the opportunity to impress his new club during a Europa League 0-0 draw at the Stadio Dall’Ara earlier this season.
The arrival of a new defender became a priority for coach Vincenzo Italiano after a fresh injury for Jhon Lucumi, who is likely to be out of action for several weeks.

His versatility is key, able to play in central defence, as a right-back, or even as a defensive midfielder.
Everyone from Ballspark in Norway to transfer pundits Fabrizio Romano, Alfredo Pedullà and Gianluca Di Marzio all have the same details.
It is believed to be worth €6m plus perhaps up to €1m in add-ons, despite the fact his contract with SK Brann only runs to December 2026.
Helland is expected to be in Bologna soon for his medical tests.
He already has one senior cap for Norway and is due to mark his 21st birthday in April.
