Borussia Dortmund have complained to Atalanta and UEFA over ticket restrictions for next Wednesday's Champions League second leg in Bergamo, saying the policy excludes parts of their support.

According to BuLi News, Atalanta informed Dortmund last week, after ticket sales had closed, that non-German BVB fans could not buy tickets and would be refused entry on safety grounds.

Dortmund host the first leg of the knockout phase tie tonight. They have condemned the move and are pushing for a resolution.

The exclusions were described as a breach of Dortmund's principles and discriminatory, and as running against the pan-European values of international football.

Intensive discussions with Atalanta and UEFA have been ongoing for several days, and Dortmund expect a positive outcome in the short term following recent talks.
