While awaiting substantial news for the two left-backs, both in attack and midfield, Roma have begun a frenzy not over, but over, the forwards.
The transfer market is all about priorities, of course, with Gasperini’s request for the aforementioned two full-backs filling currently unfilled positions.
But it’s also about timing, and at Trigoria they’ve realized it’s time to push for one of their summer targets: Nicolò Tresoldi. The forward’s agent and father have increased their pressure on Club Brugge to lower their demands.
Then, in the last few hours, with Summerville now over, Roma officials—writes Simone Valdarchi in Corriere della Sera—have begun direct talks with the Belgian club.
Meanwhile, keeping Malen company up front is Dovbyk, another player who isn’t part of the club’s plans.
The Ukrainian is being followed by Villarreal in Spain, but Fiorentina has also turned its attention to the former Girona player. In Florence, they are negotiating the transfer of Kean to Como and Dovbyk is among the profiles identified (along with Pellegrino and Pinamonti) to replace him.
